Make Believe and More

Well, it's been over 2 weeks since Joie has peed in her diaper. She stays dry at night and all day. I'm so proud of her! It's a big deal the staying dry through the night because she sleeps with a sippy cup of water and drinks through out the night.
She wakes up and tells us her dreams now. I've always been curious about what she dreams about. She'll tell us her nightmares when she wakes up too. It's easier to comfort her and understand now. It's also interesting to share her fears. She has a huge imagination. Make believe is a huge part of her play. She also like to fix everything and really understand the grown up stuff. I once said 'yuk' and she said 'why yuk' I said 'nothing' and she replyed 'no, it was something or you wouldn't have said yuk!' She's so smart and then I had to explain myself in full.
She has a magic toyhouse that holds anything we need and will solve all our problems. It's at Mommy's Mom's house and it's big and made of wood. If we don't have something here, it's there. Zach thinks it's in that location because I always call my Mom to talk about stuff and she always makes me feel better.
She asked Zach today if we could go get a milkshake. He said no, we don't have any money. She replyed I have money at my toyhouse. Then Zach talked with her about how her toyhouse is far away, too far to walk, and we can't get that money now. She countered by saying we do have money and she saw some on Daddy's desk. We could go use that to get a milkshake. Then before Zach could reply she said "It's great having lots of money isn't it Daddy". Ha! I love our lil girl so much!
3 Years Old!

I haven't written for a long time and I haven't even recorded Joie's 3rd birthday activities here. Joie had 3 parties. She talked about her birthday for weeks before it came. What she wanted, the type of cake, candles, friends, family, everything. To spend time with most of her friends she had 3 parties. The first was the Friday prior. She had a Polynesion party with her friends the Kanaheles and Tupous. Our new missionaries were there too and we all ate chocolate iced homemade cupcakes. Joie ate the frosting off 3 of them and left the cupcakes. Zach said the cake wasn't very good but no one else complained, they said they liked it honestly, hmmm.... It was her Birthday so she was allowed, Itaeehou even ate one of her licked off cupcakes for her. It was a good night and we all had fun. Kalani sang with his ukelele and the boys played with her all night. It was her boy party. The girl party was the next day Saturday. Susannah Kennedy and her daughter Sariah came over and we played outside, went for a walk and opened presents to play indoors for a while. Joie loved her girl party and we had the cake she requested, strawberry cake with strawberry icing and strawberries on top! A beautiful day and another great party. They are all good friends. The last party was her family party and we talked to family and went on webcam. We don't have any pictures because we videotaped it instead. The cake was two pieces of strawberry cake leftover. She wanted it that way so we saved it. She loved all her presents and shared with Fox which was so nice. A wonderful Birthday weekend!
Full Time Potty Trained...Again

Joie finally has a potty of her own that is in the house and she can use it whenever she wants. This has been long coming and she can finally show her independence. She sleeps through the night and awakes dry to use the potty, she uses it all day and holds everything. She's teaching her brother now to do stuff like this. She's teaching him to drink from a big cup like she can, eat with a fork She's gotten pretty good at crafting and coloring. She can cut with scissors and glue the pieces down, color inside the lines to create storys from a coloring book. Fox example Snow White ate an orange candy and turned her mouth orange. She always has a story to tell about a bear eating someone and her saving that person with a rope of some kind. She's very good at co ordinating her outfits and has great style. She picked everything I am wearing at this moment and it all matches even to the underwear. She picks her hairstyles and would love to play make up but we won't let her go that far. Her girly sides are out but at least she has a brother to help tone it down, when she isn't playing fairies with him.
