I went to the dentist for the first time and it was traumatizing to say the least. Mommy tried to work me up to it and I wondered why we skipped the fun visits of the day for naps, meals and a book with a dentist. I realized why when we walked into the clinic and went downstairs instead of up. As soon as we walked in the door I turned around to go out but Mommy caught me and carried me down those stairs to the front desk. The people were very nice giving me toys and stuff but I still didnt like the feeling of the place. We went into the office and I sat in the patient chair. I started to get really worried and scared. Then the dentist came in and I wanted Mommy. Mommy held me in her lap while the dentist had me upside down looking at my teeth. I didn't want to see him or open my eyes, I wanted it all to go away. He kept touching my teeth and holding my mouth open to count them. I don't like it when Mommy even does that to brush my teeth! I screamed and cried but they kept doing it. Then Mommy held me close and said it was over but I still didn't open my eyes or calm down till we were out of the building. I got a pink rubber ball and a new toothbrush but it doesnt make up for how scray that was. It took me an hour to come out of it and recall what had happened to Mommy. I don't have to go back for 6 months. Thank Goodness!
